Day 4 🇸🇨 training: time to put it all into practice! Today, we concluded the training with a #fishing vessel inspection exercise at port, with a well prepared inspection team. The key: they had done a risk assessment on the vessel prior to the inspection. Well done!

The sadc_mcscc was established to protect SADC's marine & inland #fisheries. For Ministry of Natural Resources and Climate Change Minister, it should not be a surprise that Malawi signed the MCSCC Charter. “Lake Malawi is part of our life. We are committed to any protocol that makes us improve MCS of the lake”.

Inland #fisheries bring multiple benefits to SADC & its population. But their importance is often overlooked. This week, we are providing #MCS officers from inland fisheries with tools to ensure this importance is reflected in the priorities of national & regional MCS strategies.
