just to come back to this and make my point clear - don't do this. this isn't a brag about getting work done fast or whatever. I hated every second of the time I spent writing because it was *only* about beating the clock. i handed in every paper a broken, clammy man.

I did this with, and I am not joking in any way, *every single* paper I wrote in my english undergrad. It absolutely sucked the life out of me every time and I am sure it took 15 years off my life but I got fine grades so I just kept doing it.
