A quick look at the first day of #RwandaReflect Seminars conducted in partnership with USAID Rwanda & International Alert Rwanda #Kwibuka30

The #RwandaReflect seminars explored the underlying causes of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, and pinpointed youth initiatives aimed at promoting lasting peace.

This week we held the #RwandaReflect seminar, an opportunity to equip ourselves with the knowledge to counteract factors that could destabilize our unity.

In his closing remarks, the PS at Ministry of Youth and Arts | Rwanda, @parfaibus, commended the event organizers and the importance of such occasions. He urged young people to deepen their understanding of history and advocated extending such events to more youth nationwide.  #RwandaReflect

Youth in #RwandaReflect through groups, discussed: Inclusive governance, using education for rebuilding, Media for positive change, and learning from past failures to prevent future tragedies. They also discussed their role in driving positive change.  #Kwibuka30

AFTERNOON: The participants were joined by Dr. uwe wissenbach, Deputy ambassador of the EU Delegation to Rwanda.

He discussed and engaged with the youth about the lessons that can be learned from the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi by the International community.'

Over 60 youths from City of Kigali who are participants in the USAID Rwanda funded project Dufatanye Urumuri,Rwanda We Want and Rwanda Youth Council are convened in a 2 day seminar to discuss the past,present and future of #Rwanda in line with #Kwibuka30 .
