Rwamrec and MIGEPROF co-chaired today's Family Promotion, #GBV Prevention and Response sub-cluster meeting. The discussion focused on family policy and the parenting guide, which are key to strengthening families and fighting gender-based violence. #FamilySupport #Parenting

From April 24 to 25, the #BAHO project field coordinator met in Nyagatare District with community activists and counsellors. The focus was #mentalhealth , #psychosocial support, and #counselling . It was a great chance to share practices and find ways to support each other.

Excited to host a comprehensive 3-day Resource Mobilization Training for CSO and CBO Leaders. The carefully crafted agenda aims to equip participants with essential skills for effective resource mobilization.

Through dynamic and interactive sessions, attendees will explore

1/3 AfriYAN Rwanda is kicking off a three-day transformative journey of training young journalists and influencers to strengthen their understanding and capacity to create impactful journalism and media engagement using gender-responsive approaches in Musanze District!

2/3 Over the next three days, we are engaging with young influential media figures to actively participate in preventing and raising awareness of violence and harassment by making informed decisions and reports that promote safe societies.

3/3 Looking forward to having these three days count!

1/3 Day two of the training of young journalists and influencers, we learnt how to ethically report and talk about issues around sexual harassment and violence, and the participants also understood the social responsibility they have as influential figures to the general public.

2/3 They were given space to analyze several traditional and social media publications on sexual violence, and they highlighted some of the shortcomings in the publications, such as instances that may have reinforced violence, victim blaming, and rape justification.

3/3 The journalists and influencers also considered how these publications could have been more effective by being informative and educative while avoiding victim harm and holding perpetrators accountable.
