Casi dos años de trabajo han merecido la pena. Mi libro Labour Law and Decent Work in the Platform Economy acaba de publicarse por Routledge Books. En él está toda mi investigación de los últimos años sobre #trabajo en #plataformas y mis propuestas para la futura norma de la International Labour Organization

Great blog by Adil Haque on advisory proceedings ref Israel at ICJ & the latest aid plan for Gaza: - ICJ *can* issue opinion in 2 parts answering more urgent part 1st - aid plan makes mockery of IHL -placing civilians on subsistence diet = intnl crime justsecurity.org/112956/icj-urg…

Please join my friend Monica Tepfer & other great speakers on this stellar Human Rights Watch panel on securing decent work (and decency!) in the platform economy. Great timing with International Labour Organization negotiations on global platform work rules starting in a month. #gigeconomy hrworg.zoom.us/webinar/regist…

A few weeks ago the Global Commission on #ModernSlavery & Human Trafficking set out a series of recommendations on ending the scourge of forced labour. Proud to see International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF)'s HRDD work with fashion brands feature in the report. Details👇🏾 itfglobal.org/en/stories/how….

Big development at the International Labour Organization with the launch of a new programme offering technical support to governments and social partners to estimate and implement living wages in line with tripartite principles agreed last year. End the scourge of poverty pay. ituc-csi.org/ituc-welcomes-…

Great report by Human Rights Watch on #gigeconomy platform work in the US based on large-scale surveys. Some unsurprising yet shocking findings include workers earning nearly 30% below fed min wage & about 70% below MIT living wage in Texas - $5.12 per hour. Time for an International Labour Organization Convention.

Next week the World Health Organization (WHO) World Health Assembly will consider the text of the #PandemicAccord adopted by the WHO INB in April. It's hard to believe that despite geopolitical shifts and the litany of malicious misinformation out there, multilateralism ultimately prevailed.
