Please share Beware of SCAM texts claiming to be from RCTNSheriff. Someone texted a woman posing as a Lt. about a “legal matter.” Deputies don't text people about “legal matters.” Ignore these texts from likely scammers. This was an attempt to get your hard-earned money.

RCTNSheriff deputies and THP searching for Joseph Beard, 43, of Dickson, who walked away from work detail Monday on John Bragg Hwy. near Readyville. Please call 911 immediately if you see him. Do not approach him. Lock doors and cars.

Escapee suspect Joseph Beard was taken into custody just before dark by RCTNSheriff. There is no longer any threat to Readyville residents. Beard is expected to be charged with escape. Thanks to THP, Cannon Co. Sheriff, Murfreesboro TN Police Department and the sheriff’s team of deputies.
