A very much deserved spot for Hurst. Doncaster fans were raving about him when he joined Gateshead and he’s certainly delivered to those high expectations. Looked decent vs Tamworth, very good vs Yeovil and then tore Aldershot’s defence apart.

This is another really strong signing from Shields this year. He’s a fantastic young player, who did well when given opportunities up in Scotland’s top flight. I can’t see any team getting near Shields over the course of the season, given how incredibly talented their side is.

If #WorClub have the desire to strengthen at the back and the money to make the deal work, I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing George Gitau join. Much like a lot of the squad, he’s had issues with injuries, but he’s a good player, in an area where they could do with another body.

Another poor performance from a very inconsistent side, which continues to fold almost every time it faces a tough test. I’d imagine that was quite the reality check both on and off of the pitch. Hopefully Woking is a marked improvement, as tonight could’ve easily been 5 or 6.

Here are my match ratings from last night's bout at home to Altrincham: It wasn't particularly a game to look back upon fondly, however Callum Johnson can certainly hold his head high regarding his performance. #WorClub

I do quite respect the confidence that it takes to nominate yourself for Goal of the Month and who can really blame him? If I scored that, I’d watch it 100 times a day!

Very pleased for Kain. Last season clearly didn’t go how he’ll have wanted it to, but AA’s given him the opportunity to showcase his ability and he’s done that and then some. It’s a fully merited award for him.

Welcome to #WorClub Curtis Edwards! His stint at Notts didn't quite go to plan, but he was quite popular for a reason down at Woking and I believe that Edwards adds a lot of things that the Tynesiders have been lacking so far this season!

I expected a tough game today, but I didn’t anticipate a loss of that margin. It feels somewhat pointless getting into where things went wrong, when many of us have already said it on here today, however something has got to give. Can’t keep turning out performances like that.

Gateshead have the worst goal difference in the entire division and yet they’re sitting inside the top half in 10th. You’ve got to love it, what a club.

It’s lovely to read that Greg Olley is finally back in training after 13 months out. A lovely lad and a brilliant player, who was despicably robbed of a year of his career.

That’s a good point away from home, but another two goals conceded in contrast. If AA is intent on the 433, I’d like to see him use Pani as a DM with Flint, Edwards or Butterfield. It’d provide more support for Fenton and Home when they play too. Could help the defence tenfold.

Who doesn’t love little old Gateshead still living rent free in the head of York fans. If only we had an owner throwing bags of cash at anyone with a pulse, then maybe we’d spontaneously spawn thousands of die hard fans in too!

I’m not one to get all negative on this account, but that is embarrassing. At half time, it felt like a game that Gateshead could really get a result from. 45 minutes later and it was a different story. A real chance to right some wrongs has been wasted today.
