late nite wizard taps. moving between areas, better enemy ai, some pcg stuff going on. (though the plan is to have the rooms be much more dense than this; I don't envision this as a countryside wandering simulator)

ahaha man I was just testing the player being able to pick up items and I didn't even realise it'd mean the enemies would be able to pick up items too? and then this troll beat me to a key and I had to fight him for it. system-driven gamedev is wild

happy #screenshotsaturday, today in Wizards Running Around I got the level generator to be aware of connectivity between rooms and able to build paths between them. massive progress away from just placing things randomly. some items: still very much being placed randomly

World gen is at a point where it can put together a coherent quest, with a door and a key and a completion state, and different world tiles with distinct characteristics. So, core game loop's done, just need to draw the rest of the owl #indiedev #godot

more wizard taps! I fixed the fireball book (although it still says "Book" instead of "Fireball") andddd I made it so that spells can be ~homing~ which is pretty neat #indiedev #GodotEngine
