Nope, the protests have not led to the arrests. The arrests are the result of concerted decisions by administrators across campuses. Nothing natural or inevitable about the arrest of non-violent protestors.

I love how folx think students aren't learning because they're not in a physical classroom. Have ya heard of land-based learning? It's a huge part of Indigenous pedagogy, literally how we've passed knowledge for centuries. These students are embodying their learning right now.

As a former member of a student social movement in Mexico and now as an educator, I am always in awe in how students have the capability of imagining new worlds. Our role as educators is to expand and protect those voices.
