In the beginning of spiritual life one goes by a roundabout way. One has to suffer a great deal. But the path becomes very easy when ecstatic love is awakened in the heart. The aspirant does not suffer if he has discrimination, dispassion, and faith in the Guru's words.

The path of Jnana Yoga is as true as the path of Bhakti Yoga. One can reach God through various paths. But as long as one retains the ego, it is easier and more straightforward to follow the path of love and devotion. BHAGAWAN SRI RAMAKRISHNA
