We're back at... contemporary issues 2024! Today we visited Wilson Bros. mill right here in Rison. SO COOL!

Seeing how private landowners manage their forests doesn't get old for me-- it embodies all of my favorite parts of what I do, from behavior change to communication to seeing conservation on the ground. Thank you, Mr. Miles Goggans 🐗 and Stephanie (QF)!!

Fell behind as usual... having too much fun this trip!! Wed we went to Drax to see how they make wood pellets and they even hooked us up with a tour of some Weyerhaeuser land (one of their suppliers)

Thursday: our annual visit to see THE Dr. Houston at Ames Plantation 😍 he never disappoints... always a fan favorite

Friday we learned a ton about conservation and ecosystem services with Dr Henson at Ducks Unlimited! And I taught the kids how to play spikeball...a life necessity.

Yesterday we dropped in at T. O. Fuller Park and Ranger Decoda was so wonderful to chat with!! One of the students is considering a career as a park ranger now! (Let's be real though, Sunny the corn snake stole the show)

Today was our free day to explore Nashville. So the kids hit up Broadway and then came to watch Nashville NightShade ❤️❤️❤️

So wholesome 😭 Our final trip was learning abt "community engagement" first hand w Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Clint hosted a fishing derby in town so we helped the elementary school kids. Lots of smiles, lots of catfish caught! Watching my students pay it forward was just 🥰 #proudprof
