Come and visit our @TonbridgeDFC stand (No. 48) at Tonbridge Pride tomorrow. We’re in the family area. You will find us at the end of the walk from the watergate - in the shade we hope.

Brilliant piece on BBC news at 10 about the disgusting plight of dementia carers. The system is unfair. The system is broken. These people need help and they need it NOW.

Yesterday I visited the Amelia in Tunbridge Wells to experience for myself their new Curiosity Project The sessions, designed for those with dementia or memory loss, will also be taken out to local groups. I’ve already booked Daniel to come to the Showfields cafe in the spring.

After my post yesterday about dementia friendly businesses I watched an excellent piece on BBC Breakfast this morning about their value and the difference it makes to families who live with the condition when people are dementia aware. On BBC iPlayer around 8.10am.

We should always consider that everyone’s needs are different, and that it’s important to treat people with dementia with respect at all times. What helps support you in communicating?
