New research opportunity for RTs in the Ottawa area looking at a series of VR modules to help better understand the psychological support + benefit of VR learning on PTSI in first responders and emergency healthcare workers.

Thank you to Fanshawe RTSF for inviting members of the RTSO to their Spectrum of Opportunity Conference. Our president, Yvonne Drasovean, alongside Student Affairs Committee members Christian Drasoven (2nd year rep) and Ida Payung (1st year rep) were honoured to be in attendance.

The RTSO Student Affairs Committee (SAC) has been working hard to plan some exciting things to promote the profession, such as highlighting the role of respiratory therapists to high school students. Stay tuned for more coming from the SAC!

Ashna is currently completing her RT diploma at Conestoga. She is driven to enhance her skills + make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing respiratory challenges. In her free time, Ashna enjoys reading, traveling, & spending quality time with her friends + family.

Fueled by a desire to make a tangible difference in people’s lives, Stephanie has worked as a critical care RT at various community hospitals within the GTA. Her goal while on the BoD is to promote the profession & create more opportunities for RTs throughout the province.
