Taoiseach Simon Harris TD has warmly welcomed the :British Government expected announcement  of a public inquiry into murder of Belfast solicitor Pat Finucane. Hesaid he raised the issue with the British Prime Minister at both their meetings in Chequers and Farmleigh. RTÉ News

Social Protection Minister Heather Humphreys has said she's examining the possibility of extending the fuel allowance to people over 66 years old. She said it had been expanded to people over 70s in last year's budget and it had been a "very very welcome measure." RTÉ News
