Last week the Regiment deployed 11 Vaccination Centre Support Teams (VCSTs) of eight personnel as part of Winter Preparedness 2020. Aligned to support the 11 NHS regions in Scotland they are assisting with the establishment of Vaccination Centres.

Yesterday I visited Scotland to see how the UK Government is supporting our Scottish Government colleagues to beat this pandemic. I’m immensely grateful to all those working to deliver tests and vaccines. Together, we can stop the spread of coronavirus.

Very sad to hear of the death of this Royal Scots Greys legend at the age of 101. Lt Col Aidan Sprot of Haystoun MC. He fought from Palestine to Luneburg 1939-45, awarded the MC at Salerno. A magnificent man who wore his brilliance lightly. Rest in peace Sir 🐺

Well done to the 11 Vaccination Centre Setup Teams (VCST), drawn from the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, who have now established their 50th site at Queen Margaret University, Musselburgh. They have been deployed in support of the Scottish Health Boards and Civil Authorities.
