It’s been a busy week for the school as we’ve hosted not one but two major conferences. First was the Royal Society of Chemistry 60th anniversary Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry meeting. Second was a fabulous memorial conference to our late colleague Prof Brendan Howlin.

A memorial conference to celebrate the life of Prof Brendan Howlin who sadly passed away last summer. We were delighted to welcome back many of Brendan’s past students and collaborators. A fantastic afternoon of science and memories! Thank you to Dan Commandeur for organising
