The second stop of Day 2 of the #PilgrimageForABetterFuture took participants to the Golden State Annex, an expansion to Mesa Verde ICE Processing Facility. We shared a prayer with the powerful women who are farmworkers by day and resistors by night.

Yesterday we gathered outside of Mesa Verde in Bakersfield,CA and came together through prayer, chants, and sharing testimonies. Although outside a different detention facility, we continue to see and hear the same things.

They shared their stories with us and expressed how they have changed their lives and are continuing to fight to do so. They have experienced the same discrimination and exclusion. The same pain and fear of being separated from their families. The same trauma.
