Certainly an improvement, but I'm concerned that the national security get-out clause can be easily abused. Reported to parliament, but can't elaborate for mysterious security reasons. I still prefer the Haldane principle.

Re: #SamKerr , women's team sports were rarely part of scandals except via homophobia. Women were either victims of male violence or sexual temptresses. Success like #Matildas = new intense public scrutiny.

I checked the Wikipedia page of Spencer Leniu after he was accused of racial abuse during an Australian rugby league promotional game in Las Vegas. He denies it. But some Wiki contributor made their mind up fast. The 'racist gronk' entry has been taken down since this screenshot.

'American beauty' cries the Sydney Daily Telegraph front page about the 'historic' Las Vegas NRL promotion. 'But the entire game of rugby league was the true winner on a day that will never be forgotten'. Maybe on the money, in the same way as cricket's 2008 'Monkeygate' scandal.

Well done, Raymond & Richard. I look forward to reading it. The growth of the streamed sport documentary is really significant, and was fuelled by pandemic lockdowns.

Sport stadia are increasingly multi-purpose. But for those in the nosebleeds it's about 'being there' rather than a quality viewing and sonic experience. True of sport too, as I found with Cathy Freeman at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
