November marks the 8 year anniversary since a few SWs were sitting in a basement in Brooklyn together wondering what to do next after the first time this m@n made it into office & B@ckpage got raided.

We've been providing resources & fighting ever since & we won't be stopping now! In fact, we've been working on some new things behind the scenes while the fund was paused.

As a community who will never get what we need from our current power structures we always have to be ready to provide what our own government refuses to, but we're not happy to be looking at the worst case scenario for the conditions under which we'll be trying to make it happen

After being shut down for part of August/September (the longest stretch ever in our entire history) we reopened the emergency fund & caught up on first time requests & payments for WCIIA (marginalutilite ) through October.

We also sent out our Fall Supplemental Income Activity to our ~200 members, sending out 7250/9000 of the grant extension from Ms. Foundation to these activities so far. In the time we were shut down, we fielded a lot of requests but only ~10 of those were from entirely new people

This really highlights how much ongoing support most of our cash assistance recipients need & we know things are going to get worse which is why we are working so hard to create more sustainability for regular payments to members. tinyurl.com/RSNnetworkurge…

Coming soon we'll have a friends and allies of Rouge Support Network discord server! Our goal is to have more personal engagement & opportunities to connect folks we trust with resources to those who need them locally to make it the cash we distribute go even farther.

We've been quiet lately while we work on assessing what's safe for public communication where, working on ways to tighten up some security, and doing internal structuring work but the work continues as conditions deteriorate quickly!

So far, we've distributed 8000 in winter supplemental income payments to the ~200 Lysistrata members since Intl Day to End Violence Against SWs, are in good shape to stay on our quarterly payment system for March, & we are already grant writing for the next cycle in the summer.

This rapid escalating of conditions cutting people off from their benefits means that if we can pull together the funds to do larger and more frequent payments, these next few months especially are a key time to do so. donorbox.org/lysistratamccf

Please consider this a key time to set up monthly donations, our membership is 67% LGBTQIA, 79% PoC, 74% Chronically ill/Disabled, 62% houseless /housing instable, 45% parenting/caregiving members & it is made up of the exact people they are trying to cut off from resources.
