Last week we welcomed some very special guests to Hallgarten HQ... Bodega La Rioja Alta, S.A. winemaker, Julio Sáenz, who gave the whole company a vinous tour of their iconic portfolio.

Including wines from their estates, Áster, in Ribera del Duero, and Lagar de Cervera, in Rías Baixas.

As well as the iconic Bodega La Rioja Alta, S.A., Gran Reserva '890'. This iconic wine spends six years in barrel, then a further six years in the bottle before being released.

This February, South Africa will celebrate the most significant event on its wine calendar: commemorating the wine industry's birthday by celebrating the 364th South African grape wine harvest. The entire month will be dedicated to #HappyBirthdaySAWine
