Important judgment in Scotland - closing the churches wasn't the least restrictive measure. We submitted similar arguments in England in May 2020 (Bradford Mosque)Jude Bunting (permission was granted to JR but Regs then changed). bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan… judiciary.scot/home/sentences…

Please do read the full thread by Adam Wagner KC to put this in context, but it’s not wrong to say that hotel quarantine essentially boils down to “detention centres…staffed by private security”.

I reckon this waiting for Christmas lockdown announcement feeling is about as close as most of the nation will ever get to that special waiting for a verdict feeling you get when your client admitted the offence in cross-examination and swore at the judge in front of the jury.

I think that it is shoddy analysis to label all those who have not been jabbed as “the unvaccinated” and treat them all as the same homogeneous group. It seems to me that there are many different reasons why people have resisted/rejected being vaccinates

I need you to know that if your barrister says there’s going to be a ‘hoo ha’ in a court hearing then this is slightly less serious than a ‘ding dong’ which, in turn, is less serious than some ‘argy bargy’ and all of them less serious than a ‘showdown’.
