Lap 222, Ross Chastain sneaks his way through on the bottom up to 16th. Mainly loose on throttle the pass two restarts is the main issue.

Lap 228, Ross Chastain loses 2 spots on the restart getting extremely loose off of 4 and getting put in the middle. Gets told to max max save under this caution.

Lap 243, Ross Chastain retains the 14th position. Hanging on for another round here.

Lap 253, Ross Chastain sends it in hard into turn 3 and comes out the other end in 8th. The plan to strike now with 93 to go.

Lap 263, Ross Chastain picks up 2 spots to 25th. Fired off not great.

Lap 271, Ross Chastain gains 2 spots on the restart up to 20th. Discussion on which lane to pick. The top feels better, but you run the risk of someone sliding in front of you.

Lap 281, Ross Chastain remains in 20th. Can’t keep the left rear attached to the ground for the first couple of laps when he needs it to go.

Kept fighting all day, onto Watkins Glen.

Lap 350, Ross Chastain fights and claws his way to an 11th place. A much needed boost in confidence and while the strategy didn’t exactly work out with too many yellows. A step in the right direction was made today. Onto a double header at Watkins Glen this time in a truck.

Horrid is the only way I can describe this whole situation. With how hard the entire 45 team have worked for this 10th anniversary of Niece and Honeycutt wheeling it to be a top 5 contender most weeks. Now only having the opportunity of going after 1 championship instead of 2.
