A video that I shot during a great visit to Woodoaks Farm today during an access audit for @ChilternsAONB by Phab UK . My poor compadre Libby Welsh šŸ¦»šŸ» was off auditing a wood at the time. I was trying to get the mud off my wheelchair. Thanks to Sue & Gary for a great day.

We’re at the start of our journey to see how we can make Woodoaks Farm a place everyone can access. It’s going to take time, but with the help of Mik Scarlet of Phab UK & Libby Welsh šŸ¦»šŸ», aided by @ChilternsAONB & Defra UK we are going to do our darnedest to get there!

Pure pleasure…the sight of 1st blossom on Cherry Plum - our final tree in the new hedgerows planted in 70 acre field as part of the #agroforestry project. Hung sunflower heads pepper the horizon providing seed forage for countless farmland birds. Oh how quietly nature turns

I found this rather stunning European Rose Chafer this afternoon feeding on Hogweed Flowers at Woodoaks Farm, Maple Cross. The improvement in soil has undoubtedly helped this species. Woodoaks Farm Colne Valley Park @wildlife_uk Farm Wildlife

The Colne Valley is at a crossroads and has two potential futures: An uncoordinated ā€˜development frenzy’ in your local countryside or protection and restoration of the #GreenBelt. Which path will your politicians choose? See information on our campaign at colnevalleypark.org.uk/project/campai…

it seems so obvious but still big multinationals dominate our narratives and our policy decisions which means the companies doing it right are the ones who to prove it but organisations like Soil Association OF&G are campaigning for change

Both of the actions you see in these photos potentially amount to the offence of ā€˜public nuisance’. One is punishable with ā€œlong, long prison sentencesā€ & the other is rewarded with huge bonuses & billions in profits. Why the disparity? What does this mean for the rule of law?

very inspiring afternoon listening to the challenges people have when accessing the countryside - they feel less connected to nature and farming. We are developing a program to allow more people to access food farming and nature Woodoaks Farm The National Lottery Heritage Fund Soil Association

Imagine? Who'd have thought? In this week's Guardian ... "Primary school pupils should have the opportunity to knead bread dough, dig in the soil, plant vegetables and play with shadows as part of their early science education, according to the new recommendations."
