Employment rights are only real if they’re enforced. Low paid workers like young women are particularly at risk - we mustn’t price them out of justice.

Young Women's Trust stands with the Trades Union Congress and many others calling for a halt to plans that would bring back tribunal fees

'A coalition of 48 organisations, including the Trades Union Congress, CitizensAdvice, Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the Fawcett Society and Maternity Action, said bringing back [employment tribunal] fees, which were ditched in 2017, meant “bad employers are being given the go-ahead to undercut good ones”.

When you have 48 organisations, including the TUC, Citizens Advice, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the Fawcett Society and Maternity Action saying don’t bring back fees to take a case to the employment tribunal - you would hope ministers would listen

Maternity pay has fallen way below the cost of living, leading new mothers to skip meals to feed their families and forcing them back to work too soon.
