This was a fantastic meeting ❤️ Orgs like London Renters Union are how we beat the right. Migrant members & members born & bred in Hackney face exactly the SAME housing conditions. high rents, mould, damp, disrepair… No one is “living in luxury on the tax payer” jfc.

💥 EVICTION STOPPED! 💪 After 7 HOURS standing our ground, defending multiple entrances, we sent the bailiffs and the police packing - defending our members from being evicted from their homes. Together, we have the power to stand up to the rich and win.

💪 Another week, another eviction stopped! 💪 Our Disabled member and her family were forced into arrears after being transferred onto universal credit and then they were threatened with eviction. Today we took action, stopping the eviction and writing off the unfair arrears!

🙌 HUGE VICTORY FOR OUR MEMBERS 🙌 Iola explains how we took on the housing association and won re-housing as well as securing an offer of over £100,000 in compensation! When we take direct action together, we have the power to transform our lives. The fight continues.

Eden is pregnant & living in temporary accommodation with her little one. They have both suffered sickness because the black mould is so bad. We will continue to fight for Eden and for safe, warm homes for all.
