Last week myself & Le-Anne of CCD Jamaica set off to rep MHPM Andrew Holness at the #CaribbeanRegionalHeadsofGovernment Meeting in Prep for #COP27 held in the Bahamas. In the margins of the meeting we had several discussions & bi-lat meetings with colleagues. Pt1.

Our fragile planet is hanging by a thread. Limiting temperature rise is still possible, but only through concrete, urgent #ClimateAction. Every fraction of a degree matters. Every day matters.

Over 50 experts gathered in Bonn today to assess the impact of slow-onset events and resultant losses and damages. ⏱️Outcomes of the workshop will inform a new-generation tracking system for hazardous events and losses and damages, a collaborative effort by UNDRR, UN Development and World Meteorological Organization
