Yesterday was a supercut of fist pumps. Migrated prod from Serverless V3 to the CDK and from API Gateway to CloudFront. All the resources successfully imported to the new CloudFormation stacks without drift. Chased it with a zero downtime DNS cutover. Still got it!

There are 3 things I miss going from serverless framework to CDK. 1. Sane resource names 2. Interpolated stage based variables 3. No random lambdas for functionality deployed in your account I can workaround 1 and 2, but 3 really should be hosted by the CDK team.

Lambda should just do a proactive initialization after deployment. Seems like a simple way of getting rid of 1 coldstart, I always invoke soon after I deploy.
