Spent a little time #metaldetecting at the park today. Found some typical junk, but glad I could get out and dig before it got too hot.

Coworker brought a bag of mostly modern Euro coins he brought back from a vacation. In the bag was one coin recovered from a shipwreck. I didn't get a good pic as we were at work. Oldest coin I've held in a while 👍 #Saturdaynightcoinshow

A good friend at work retired recently and is downsizing his living space. He said he had a box to give me but didn't say what was in it. Found this in my driver seat today. Wow! #Saturdaynightcoinshow it's been a while since I've had anything to share!

Follow-up to my earlier tweet.. Just looking through these wheats, and I see this one looks like some sort of planchet error? Obviously the coin is circulated and damaged, I don't expect a premium, but would be cool to have found an "error" coin.

Was sick Thursday/Friday. Probably should've rested today, as it's 95 and sunny out. Instead, decided to sweat it out and dig at the park. Cleaned up a bit of trash, and was rewarded with $1.50! How about an all-natural detox that pays $0.75/hr! #metaldetecting

Had a fun day #metaldetecting at an old city park. Found $1.52, a 1988 2 Pfennig, and a very small sterling ring. In addition, my wife brought home two 1930's coins from her cash drawer at work. #Saturdaynightcoinshow

This poor cent has needle-pokes and is nearly worn flat. However, it appears to be a 1911 D. Given its poor condition, I know it can't be worth much. Just wondering if I should put in a placard or just throw it in my jar of wheats? #Saturdaynightcoinshow

Got over to a new permission today. 1950 house half a mile from a 150+ year old college campus. This was just the front yard. Three wheats, including a 1916D. Two silver Rosies, 1963 & 1964. Dog Tax tag 1963, 1953 US play penny, and a 1941 nickel. #Saturdaynightcoinshow
