For our seabirds' sake, please do not visit Isle of Muck Nature Reserve! Earlier this week our habitat monitoring cameras picked up someone on Isle of Muck with their dog. We want to take this chance to remind everyone why the nature reserve is not open to visitors. (1/5)

Happy St Patrick's Day! We've heard many tales of how St Patrick banished snakes from Ireland, but did you know that we have lizards? The common lizard is our only native reptile. They require heat from the sun to raise their body temp & move, which is why they're spotted basking

I didn't think my day could have gotten much better after I spent a few hrs watching an Otter and pup this morning, then I finshed the day watching a Pine marten. What a way to finish the weekend. Ulster Wildlife BBC Springwatch Canon UK and Ireland

4 times I’ve seen these guys collecting winkles in past 48hrs, pretty sure they are doing it commercially unless they really like the taste. I hope DAERA can trace this in the food chain as they are collecting from right in front of Northern Ireland Water sewage works. NI Marine Task Force

I just hope the data isn’t used against them to create ‘no fish zones’ the way DAERA did with the licensed skate anglers here in Northern Ireland. Their parting shot in email telling us they were no longer issuing licenses was ‘not to fish in areas likely to have skate’

Between that and the people dropping their kids of to ride motocross bikes through the random holes in fence where the fence line has snapped (strange seeing as it’s brand new barbed wire, and even the posts have jumped outta ground) it’s more like the Wild West up around there.
