The CEO of Tata Consultancy Services thinks we are a year or so away from chatbots being able to analyze a customer’s account history and do most of what a human call center operator does today. He expects the need for humans will be minimal after that.

Love my WeWork, but was getting sick of their common area background music, which is a centrally-programmed ~6h loop of songs, half of which are “Out of Time” by The Weeknd. Went to a coffee shop for respite from this; Out of Time playing on there too. FML.

Imagine the potential impact of repurposing older headsets in markets with lower income. There's just simply no reason to keep older XR/Spatial devices locked down other than greed.

Commentary about Horizon OS makes me think most people are missing a key point: Horizon OS won’t be open to *anybody*; it’s available to *select partners* of Meta’s choosing. AFAIK there isn’t even an “open” application form to ask for permission, let alone an open platform.
