On 13th August, India - Korea Friendship Society(IKFS) thanked Ambassador CHANG Jae-bok, K-Amb to IND for his hard work in strengthening Korea - India relations. Ambassador Chang said that he trust IKFS will continue to play a vital role in supporting our bilateral relations.

On August 15, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea hosted the 79th Liberation Day celebration. Ambassador CHANG Jae-bok, K-Amb to IND highlighted the bond between Korea and India, celebrating the shared date of Korea's Liberation Day and India's Independence Day.

On 20 Aug, our embassy launched a new initiative to empower Indian women social entrepreneurs in collaboration with KOICA and USAID.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Indian Coast Guard Director General Rakesh Pal. His leadership and dedication to maritime safety will be missed. Our thoughts are with his family and the Indian Coast Guard community.

On August 27, Ambassador CHANG Jae-bok, K-Amb to IND met with H.E. Mr. Xu Feihong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, and exchanged the current status of bilateral relations with India.

On 2nd Sept(Mon.) Ambassador CHANG Jae-bok, K-Amb to IND held a luncheon with the Army delegation, including MG Choi Soon-gun. Ambassador Chang shared with the delegation the current status of the India defense market and discussed ways to promote defense and security cooperation.
