Another travel ban. People really don't get how hard it is to be Iranian and try to make it in academia. Every seminar or conference means tons of paperwork, money, stress, and not knowing if it'll even work out. Now I have to cancel my NYU visit because of this stupid ban. 😔

Many academics that I talk to are not aware that there's now a US travel ban in place, meaning that Iranian researchers (and scholars from many other countries) cannot go to the US anymore at all -- no conferences, no graduate studies, no job talks, no research visits. Nothing.
