Looking for a PhD in functional #proteomics? 👨🔬 Join the atul deshmukh Group and help identify and characterize secreted proteins in healthy and individuals with T2D, both at rest and after an exercise intervention. Read more about the role, below 👇 bit.ly/cbmr-ippp-desh…
Interdisciplinary breakthroughs demand collaborative teamwork! Kudos to the incredible minds behind this project: Morten Hostrup, TeamDerave, Julien Ochala and Proteomics Research Infrastructure (PRI). Together, we're pushing the boundaries of research! 🤝
Be sure to join us next monday, where together with Thibaux Van der Stede we will talk about our latest work on single fiber heterogeneity!
Great to have Roger Moreno Justicia Thibaux Van der Stede & Ben Stocks present their latest single-fibre transcriptomics/proteomics work to our group bit.ly/40Lxpm3
We had a really good chat. Thanks Morten Hostrup Beta2-agonists like Ventolin (salbutamol) are important for asthma and: Can increase muscle power and size but less effects on strength Can decrease VO2 max In high doses can have side effects Plus more Online in 8-9 days
We have an update on our skeletal muscle fiber heterogeneity preprint: fiber type-specific non-coding RNAs and related microproteins! 🧬💪Check it out: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… with TeamDerave atul deshmukh Roger Moreno Justicia (1/3)
Register now for Metabolism Day 2024! 🚀 The annual conference about cardiometabolic diseases and energy control takes place on March 12, 2024 at University of Copenhagen Research in Copenhagen, Denmark. Seven international speakers will join us on the day: 1️⃣ Professor Claudia Langenberg |
Check our our new preprint describing Personalized Molecular Signatures of Insulin Resistance and Type 2 Diabetes. Lead by brilliant PhD student Jeppe Kjærgaard Larsen this marks our first major steps toward disentangling insulin resistance. doi.org/10.1101/2024.0…
If you are student/postdoc in NNF Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) be sure to check out the MAPS events, where you can hear about your peer's research😁. From students to students!
Kicking off Metabolism day here at NNF Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR). Excited to hear about fantastic research 😁 #MD24

MAPS Science & Social on Friday (12th)! Science from 15:00 to 16:00 on Lvl 6 (07-6-145A) and social following this. If you are a part of NNF Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR), make sure to join us! Pizza and soft drinks provided. This week we have David Tandio and Jeppe Kjærgaard Larsen speaking!
Do men and women respond equally to resistance exercise? What about fiber type, does it play a role in the training adaptations? Check out our latest preprint where together with Lukas Moesgaard, atul deshmukh and Morten Hostrup we use proteomics to answer these questions!
We used our single-fiber transcriptomics workflow to profile how individual human muscle fibers respond to exercise. Our results are out now in AJP-Cell Physiology, with thanks to TeamDerave, FWO and UGent Geneeskunde & Gezondheidswetenschappen (1/5) journals.physiology.org/doi/epdf/10.11…
In this collaborative effort with Søren Jessen atul deshmukh et al, we show that beta2-agonist (asthma) inhaler💊 mimics aspects of strength training🏋️♀️: hypertrophy & ribosomal proteins⬆️. This supports the restrictions for beta2-agonists in sports. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…
