This painting of my family at my fourth birthday party makes my heart smile. Dad in his brown sombrero, my sister at the piñata, me (green shirt), my brother (red shirt), all of us singing “dale dale dale” outside our Lynwood apartment. Grateful to have it on my wall forever.

This Saturday I’ll have work on display at Plaza Mexico for an art show featuring artists from Lynwood and nearby cities. Crazy to show work at a spot I grew up buying Pokémon cards, playing arcade games, and eating nachos. 12–4pm | Aug 2–9 Ahí los veo 💃🏽
