On the children and young people statement our spokesperson and Cyncoed councillor @RHopkins510 praised the work of the mental health charity, Bronwen’s wish

On the Education statement our spokesperson @RHopkins510 asked about the guidance on weapons being brought into schools

On the Housing Statement, Gabalfa and Mynachdy councillor Rhys Taylor raised concerns about the huge waits to make repairs in council housing

On the waste management statement, Pentwyn and Llanedeyrn councillor Cllr. Joe Carter 🔶 🇺🇦 asked how it was that the council was so quick to clean up the city centre event, yet so poor at cleansing the rest of the city

Our leader Rodney Berman gave a powerful speech talking about the need for us to do something to stand again the awful suffering in Gaza. He warned that the action of the Israeli Armed Forces are escalating anti-semitism here in Wales, making Welsh Jews feel less safe

We are now onto oral questions. The first question is from our leader and Penylan councillor Rodney Berman on Blackweir Live. He called on the council to do more to reduce noise pollution and disturbance for residents living in surrounding communities

Question 5 is from Pentwyn and Llanedeyrn councillor Cllr. Joe Carter 🔶 🇺🇦 on the roll out of segregated recycling to blocks of flats. We need to increase recycling but it only takes one tenant to contaminate the whole bin. How will the council make this rollout a success?

Question 9 is from our Gabalfa and Mynachdy councillor Rhys Taylor asking about discussions between the charity commission and the council about Maindy Park

Question 14 is from Cyncoed and Lakeside councillor @RHopkins510 asked a question about contaminated recycling. He raised concerns about the increase of rodents being spotted around red and blue sacks

Our final question is number 17 from our leader Rodney Berman . He raised concerns about almost half of schools having to run deficit budgets and the council having no plans to fix this funding crisis

Great to be out supporting Welsh Liberal Democrats candidate Wayne Street in Llanrumney today. In just 4 days time, people have a choice as to who will replace Labour - a right wing Reform one from the other side of the city, or a Lib Dem one who lives locally and cares about the area

Great reception on the doorstep tonight in Llanrumney for our fabulous Welsh Liberal Democrats candidate Wayne Street

It’s polling day in #Llanrumney tomorrow. Only Wayne Sleet can deliver the positive change that Llanrumney needs. Please vote Welsh Liberal Democrats tomorrow

Today is polling day in Llanrumney. Vote for Welsh Liberal Democrats Wayne Street to tackle anti-social behaviour, clean up our community, and to fight for Llanrumney’s fair share

A strong showing from our Welsh Liberal Democrats candidate Wayne Street with the best increased result apart from Reform’s. Complete collapse of the Tory vote and 20% drop in Labour support. We can build on this for the Senedd campaign and local elections
