Did you know? High Falls (or Upper Falls) was originally 96’ tall but was lowered 80’ in 1914 to help reduce flooding in downtown Rochester, which was commonplace until the Mount Morris dam was built in 1952. City of Rochester NY

Did you know? During its industrial peak, the High Falls District was home to over twenty flour mills, sawmills, and foundries powered by the diverted river. The last flour was milled at Brown’s Race in 1927.
