Solar System 'Dark Worlds' this evening on BBC2 at 9pm has the longest continuous shot we've ever attempted - 5 minutes. Our camera tech Nick Gaven made this little edit to show how it was done. We only did the shot twice because it was tricky!

Such great news the incredible VFX in #Earth have been recognised. It took a huge team effort of Directors, Producers, researchers, production team and conversations with over 200 scientists. An amazing collaboration between BBC Studios and Moonraker VFX

My opinion on #WWD2025 episode "River Dragon": THIS EPISODE IS A MASTERPIECE! Nearly everything was great, I loved both the Spinosaurus & Carcharodontosaurus, many scenes were genuinely fresh & interesting, scientific parts were informative & biodiversity was much greater! 9/10

Desperately sad to hear about Micky Lachmann. One of the pillars of factual television. Anyone who regularly watches BBC science will have seen his work. From Wonders of the Solar System to The Sky at Night. A brilliant mind and the nicest human you could meet.
