We're saddened to learn of the passing of Darrel J. McLeod. We were honoured to have him deliver a keynote at last year's festival. He filled the room with warmth and laughter. We will be reading your books today, Darrel, and thinking of you and your family.

Darrel J McLeod spoke at the Fraser Valley Writers Festival last year, my first year coordinating it. My nerves were so jangly that few things could calm me, but Darrel's warm-hearted humour did the trick. He was a remarkable man, and it's hard to believe I won't be seeing him again.

Just about everything from Biblioasis' backlist is on sale until the end of day today! This includes my edition of Best Canadian Poetry (2019), but not my collection Strangers (I still think it's worth paying full price 😉).
