Today we are at Dabala Senior High Technical School (SHTS) with Transforming Teaching, Education & Learning Board member, Professor Rita Akosua Dickson, to meet with management, teachers and students. Hearing the positive impact of Ghana Education Service Professional Learning Community sessions on classroom practices.
Today we are at Koase SHTS with the Director-General of Naccaghana, Professor Appiah, to check on progress with the SHS curriculum trial. Management and teachers are very enthusiastic about the new curriculum. Students told us that they are gaining a lot from group work.
Thank you to Dr Vyda Hervie who invited me to talk to her University of Ghana Social Work students about the work Transforming Teaching, Education & Learning is doing to support GES and Naccaghana to reform secondary education. I am pleased some of the students expressed an interest in teaching as a career.
