There's no good argument for imposing drab school uniforms on students. Expensive, unnecessary, uncomfortable, unimaginative, & worst of all, helping to create that snobbery that now exists, particularly in rugby schools. Let the kids wear their own clothes. We're not British

Your annual reminder that the FA was legally forced to change the name of the Charity Shield to the Community Shield in 2002 after they failed to meet the minimum legal transparency requirements of how much money actually went to charities.

The global takeover of Freed From Desire being caused by a random Wigan fan sat at home with a tambourine will forever be hilarious to me #ClosingCeremony #Paris2024 #wafc

Was it the suspension or their behaviour in general that has made them unemployable? I doubt at 24yo anyone cares if you had been suspended at school and rather looks at how you perform now.

OK here's a rant about A level re-marks. My son had a below prediction score, so (because I was able to) I paid the £150 per paper re-mark charge. He went up by TEN marks and a whole grade. The fact that this option is only open to those that can afford it is totally unfair.

Did you know in 1994, the widget in the Guinness cans won invention of the year (based on a public vote in the UK) beating THE INTERNET to the award! Crazy😂

No subject should be compulsory. Allow all students to pick all their GCSEs. Who cares if they can’t pass Maths or English. Aim for the bottom.

For all the complaints in these letters, the three Edexcel Foundation tier GCSE Maths papers this summer (taken by ~2/3 of the cohort) had no questions which tested trigonometry, simultaneous equations or the factorising of quadratic equations theguardian.com/education/arti…

Genuine question. What is the point of private schools, apart from to give more fortunate children a further edge in life than children of ordinary working families? Shouldn't we just make all state schools as good as possible?

This account is an early seasons account. The good seasons. Maybe people like season 10 through 35. We don't know. Frankly, we don't want to know. It's a market we can do without.
