Really good stuff from Nate here & echoes how I feel. Not a knock of Tyler Warren but I have Loveland as my TE1. Love the athleticism & well-rounded parts of his game. One of my “sleeper” selections at 10, actually. Don’t love taking TEs that high but hey, it happens.

There’s nothing less common in draft evals than authentic individual opinions — everything gets crossed with groupthink and dilutes what should be deep, fun discussions. Quinten Krzysko went the extra mile and looked nothing up during this whole process — check out his OL board:

I’m a fan of the team, I’m cheering for him even if it costs their whole draft. The Bears are just saying “our situation is bigger than the data”, and that’s risky. We’ll see! I also think OTs (especially LTs) in the 2nd are generally a waste of time. Take an EDGE/DL there

I personally think that if they’d drafted a defensive lineman with #12 and a scat back that they’d have cruised to the playoffs just fine. You’re welcome to disagree though. I love Gibbs, but in a league where Dan Moore is making 20+ Mil/Y you need cheap premium players imho.

Why watch NFL Draft with equal coverage to 32 teams when you can have coverage with a Bears lean all night? Turn the TV Sound down and 2nd City Gridiron up! Appearances from Lester A. Wiltfong Jr., Jeff Berckes, Ross Read, Aaron Leming Robert Schmitz & more! YouTube.Com/@2ndCityGridir…

I like the Loveland pick — TEs that move well & have the tools to also block well are hard to find. I’m rarely a huge fan of taking TE in the first, but with the way the board fell it was either him, Mykel, or trading back. I’m just thankful they took the TE that can separate 👍

New #Bears TE Colston Loveland was our #2 player in the entire draft class (excluding all QBs), after Hunter. He's just a notch below Brock Bowers as a prospect, and he finished as the second highest graded TE I've ever graded. GREAT value at #10. Awesome fit with Ben Johnson!

Ryan Poles said "it didn't make sense" for the Bears to move up in the 1st round and believes there's going to be even more movement in Round 2. Poles: "When we made those calls up, it took you out. I briefly mentioned this on Tuesday — there's a run coming up here that I think

Ben Johnson got to Chicago and all the #Bears have done since is stabilize the offense — by picking Luther Burden, they continue to do so. Give some flowers to Poles (and Ben Johnson), they’re supporting Caleb Williams as best they can. They can keep threats fresh all game.

I don’t have an opinion on Trapilo, ask Quinten Krzysko. But a 33’-armed OT with some nasty in him sounds like a great body to add to a room that can use it. Will he oust Braxton? Thankfully, it’s not a question that needs an answer in 2025. Give him a year as a 6OL, see what falls

Excited to see the #Bears add some DL at 62 — Turner is light enough that I’m still a bit worried about their run defense if Billings goes down, but that room needed talent. Really impressed at the org’s patience with RB, every position has been premium (save Loveland).
