Amazing what's in CSS these days! I remember trying to implement multi-level drop-down menus in one of my first ever projects in the early 2000s. It's something you can do in CSS now with popovers (and position-try, cool)! From this awesome talk by Una 🇺🇦 epicweb.dev/talks/less-cru…

Can't believe I ignored Go for over a decade. Maybe I just needed to mature as a programmer first. A decade ago I wanted cool language features and design patterns. Now I want simplicity, consistency, static typing, TDD, low resource usage and simple deployment. It has all that.

I'm so tired of hearing that tariffs are paid by exporters and that a trade deficit is being ripped off. Tariffs are paid by the importer and a deficit is simply buying more than you sell. This basic misunderstanding is the cause of this entire market crash. It was so avoidable.

I tried out Omarchy Linux and I get it now. This is what made OS X such a hit when it was released - unix, but with a great UX. Easy to use and it just works. But now there is a real competitor. To my surprise, I prefer the tiling window manager to the point I wish macOS had it.

Is it just me, or do the switches in Liquid Glass look really stretched horizontally? Are they meant to be copying physical side switches that are probably not circular either?

There's a few things I really like about Liquid Glass. Modals are lot easier to read now, and tapping on inputs makes it clear spmething happened. I also feel like the OS is just generally faster on my iPhone 14.
