About 40% of eligible voters won’t vote. Of the 60% that will, 90% or more can’t have their mind changed. Truly wild that probably close to $20B dollars will be spent trying to convince around 6% of eligible voters in six or seven States how to vote.

Taking this further, about 160M votes were cast in ‘20. If 10% of those are swing votes (16M), and turnout is the same as last time, then at ~$20B spent in total by the campaigns, then each swing vote costs about $1250. More if you only consider swing State votes. That’s insane

Foreign countries don’t pay tariffs! What the fuck is this reporting? The importer pays the tariff. American companies will pay the tariff and add that to the cost of the goods. Why do people not understand this?

Not giving advice necessarily, but speaking for myself I would avoid travel to the US between Election Day and Inauguration Day for fear of political violence in a country teeming with guns.

Do Americans know that registering your party affiliation is not a thing in other democracies? It seems a weird thing to do.
