Wrong! The courts overturned Hogan's decision not to allow Marylanders the extended unemployment benefits. THAT is why Maryland's economy recovered faster from the pandemic.

Following a historic reduction in homicides in 2023, we continue to maintain our momentum so far in 2024. Through 6/3, homicides are down 37%, and nonfatal shootings are down 28% in 2024. Despite the narrative to the contrary, Carackings are down 20% well.

As of this morning, roughly halfway through the year, homicides are down 36% and nonfatal shootings are down 30% compared to this same time last year and on top of last year’s already historic reduction.
