Fascinating revolution drama about a woman torn between motherhood and her commitment to the communist cause. There are some wonderful sequences, beautiful cinematography and clever symbolism in a film which was always going to be banned.

Finally completed Andor. Great stuff. This is the kind of thing I've always wanted from the Star Wars universe. Along with Rogue One, it's undoubtedly the best since the originals.

Working through the X-Files again as I can find nothing new which peaks my interest and this never fails to make me laugh.

Two superb lead performances and some brilliant writing make this an absolute must for anyone who likes a clever crime drama. I love the jamboree of brilliant characters.

When the only lunchtime screening of the new film you want to watch is for fucking dogs.

I never pass up the chance to see the French go at Se7en. It has lots going on but too much is underdeveloped to make it a classic. Still great value though.

Decent Kurt Russell 'reporter solves serial killer case' vehicle. It's not exactly original but entertainingly done. Also features a slightly bewildered Andy Garcia.

There's a mad style to YG which at times is breathtaking. There's a proto shakycam chase/action scene which is stunning. Relentless. Manic. Cool.

I see the libs want documentaries but only documentaries which match their worldview. Got to love the left's example of free speech.

Harrison impresses in this well made horror. The effects are really good and it knows the assignment. Not messing about with anything other than the main event. It could of used a but more work around the tension, but otherwise entertaining.

The chapter structure works against Weapons. If you're going to do that they all have to be compelling and have a point. Aside from making a short into a feature. It's entertaining but shock tactics are no substitute for good storytelling. 2 great performances & a fun ending.

I see Ethan Coen is bashing out another (no doubt dreadful) lesbian crime film. Featuring blank expression nepo-baby and one of the non-acting Chrisses (there are so many). Can't wait.

There's a certain spirit to this, but it's just so derivative. Different subject matter, maybe, but same old story. Very obvious and not particularly engaging.

Interesting idea which never really goes anywhere. Another drama about grief/guilt? using horror as a selling point.

Wow. I was expecting this to be bad. I don't mind the Paul W.S. Anderson Resident Evil franchise but Monster Hunter was really terrible and this is beyond the pale. He even tries to get his wife to deliver speeches 😀
