My wife sat in the truck for a “quick” activation. Quick it was not. 7 QRP CW QSOs in 80 minutes and I resorted to FT8. Signals were so low I only got one below a 339. I gave WA2SPL a 119. It was slightly above a whisper being smothered by a pillow.

I am pleased with the performance of 40m this morning. I had enough room to put the KO4FSZ antenna way up in the trees. A short tree and a not-so-short tree (not shown), and I made my QRP activation in 20 minutes.

Just arrived to play POTA, and just chasing 40m P2P before starting almost has me an activation. I’m running all the watts and I can hear my KX2 wanting out of the bag.

What a nice morning to play a little radio. 40m died out quickly, but I did well with 7 CW P2Ps and a couple of SSB QSOs. Then I changed the oil in both Jeep differentials. Gotta keep the POTAmobile running smoothly. Shocks should be here tomorrow. That thing is too bouncy.
