I bet he didn’t just plead not guilty, I bet he florally mansplained the futility of the legal process, the victimisation of white men and then made a joke about his willy

Don’t get me wrong, it’s an astonishing amount of money, but it’s weird how the price for Wirtz is being quoted in Euros to make it look even more than it already is

In terms of hiring the right manager, it takes as long as it takes and I’m OK with that, but EVERY decision Cardiff makes is at a snails pace. You get so much goodwill from being prompt, but whether it’s pre-season fixtures or the retained list, it takes forever to be circulated

If it’s Ramsey, I only see him doing it with a DOF and why go through this whole process?! If it’s Murphy, it would be very exciting, but very risky. Buckingham is experienced for his age, but younger than you would expect for the job. Presumably Evatt is (hopefully) the outsider

I suspect Ramsey is who the club have wanted all along, due to his profile, potential, the fact that’s he’s already in the building and on the payroll. Whether they would bend to his requirements is another matter. If he can add a layer of support, it would be a significant hire

People reach for an experienced manager as a crutch, but I genuinely think it’s an overrated factor. In recent years Davies, McKenna, Mousinho, Schumacher and Buckingham have all thrived in League One. There are ultimately only good fits and bad fits. A rookie is not always risky

It wouldn’t be the first time, but there is a real danger of over complicating this manager hunt. In the past, Cardiff overlooked both Rob Edwards and Nathan Jones when they were out of work. Sometimes the obvious solution is the right solution. Things will ramp up in June too

I know the Cardiff board have been understandably unconvinced by Nathan Jones in the past, but maybe taking Charlton up has finally won them over. If he also drops down a level to take the job, his already high stock in these parts would go through the roof. Is now the time?

Inter didn’t bottle it, they got hammered. Totally overwhelmed. There is not always a solution to every situation you encounter

The irony is that the sheer amount of time this drawn out recruitment process has taken has actually, somehow worked in Cardiff’s favour this time because Jones was not up for grabs by the time a hire was intended to be made. It will now be up to him to make it happen though
