At Approx 1930 yesterday evening, both boats were requested to launch to Abercastle to reports of a missing person. Whilst en route the person was confirmed to be safe and well. A False alarm with good intent.

During the weekend, 2 of our crew @Rhods999 and Rob Davies ventured down to RNLI HQ to take part in a RADAR course. Well done to both crew and the 2 from Lymington RNLI Lifeboat and Bridlington RNLI crew for completing the course. #training

🚨📟🚨 SHOUT 🚨📟🚨 11:46 12/07/2018 The ALB was launched to assist a pair of kayakers in difficulty in a cave between Needle Rock and Cwm yr Eglwys. The crew got both fatigued kayakers onboard and returned them around Dinas headland to Pwll Gwaelod met by Fishguard CG.

🚨SHOUT🚨 0916 12/08 ALB Tasked to assist a yacht with engine difficulties approx 13 miles NW of Strumble Head. Once on scene a tow was secured and both vessels proceeded towards Fishguard Harbour where the yacht was placed on the mooring. The crew returned to station at 13:00

🚨📟SHOUT 1836 02/09 ALB tasked to assist a 28ft Yacht with 3 crew onboard suffering power failure, approx 7 miles NW of Strumble Head. Once on scene, a tow was secured to the yacht and was then towed to Fishguard and placed on the Outer mooring.

🚨📟SHOUT 0801 05/09 ILB tasked to a yacht on the rocks in Lower Fishguard. The crew were tasked to check for any persons onboard the vessel. When a thorough check was carried out and with no persons onboard, the ILB was stood down and returned to station.

There is no #4pmFinish for our volunteer crews who will drop everything to answer the call for help, whenever, wherever, day or night.

Better batten down the hatches and check moorings. Looks like a tasty start to the week. The SW and Wales is in the firing line. #hurricaneHelene #UKWeather

A man recently fell from the promenade at Redcar into the water. Passers-by naturally rushed to help. However, they too found themselves in difficulty. All escaped with their lives. If you see someone else in trouble in the water, call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.

Day 39 Superb paddle to #Fishguard. Saw the impressive lighthouse at Strumble Head. Enjoyed the stunning stretch of coastline and so special to see dolphins along the way. A wonderful welcome into Fishguard by Fishguard RNLI @GoFishguard

Day 40 - Early start today, big thank you to Chris & Roger at Fishguard RNLI for helping me to launch. Had a superb paddle, not much view sadly but incredibly atmospheric. Len came to see me in his fishing boat and gave me some extra intel. Saw a seal and some dolphins.
