My wife is not afraid to tell me when something in my writing does not work. She read three new chapters just now, written in a woman's POV. She said the woman is not only true but "the best female character you've written." I am happy. I am very happy.

Celebrated 10's birthday at the drive-in last night. Would recommend. (And while in my ideal world it would have been Oppenheimer, Legally Blonde worked delightfully as a double feature.)

Have a new story out today. It wasn’t an easy story to write, and it probably isn’t an easy story to read, but it’s important to me. One of those pieces that rattled around in me for years. Glad to turn it into something more than an echo. TW: suicide, violence

I write historical fiction, and I love and deeply admire the novel Booth. I just got off a Zoom meeting where I got to talk to Karen Joy Fowler. So many thanks to @ColinMustful of @HtFiction for hosting the session.

As of 20 minutes ago, I have a foothold in that other place, the one with the cerulean heavens. Would love to find folks there - RFLove.

I've neglected my novel during this very busy week, but my fruited sour tripel and I are settling in for some summer evening editing. #amwr

I'm an unpublished novelist writing in a local coffee shop, and yes, it's cliche, but let's think of it as placing myself in a long-running line. 1100 words, btw, which is just about maximal output for me. Cheers, #WritingCommunity. #amwriting

Five years passed from the first draft to publication, but I am proud to share my story "Brushing Sand" in the new issue at NewMyths. #WritingCommunity #scifi sites.google.com/newmyths.com/n…

One reader called this story "haunting and beautifully written," and another said "moving--I'm too stunned for words." My thanks to NewMyths and all who read, will read, or commented. It means quite a bit. #writers #scifi

I'd been waiting to find out what happened to these characters since I finished The Traitors We Are, and Michael “Mike” Roberti—Author hooked me up with an advance copy. This grim tale of power and revenge is even better than its predecessor. Check it out, folks.
