First up today @ #DDW2023 the most important meeting of whole week. Critical effort of NIDDK IBD Genetics consortium IBD Genetics Consortium to consolidate & improve our efforts in recruiting & studying diverse populations. So important to bring benefits of genome medicine to everyone. #Equity
Fascinating to hear a surgeon’s Stefan Holubar MD MS perspective on perianal fistula management coming from the basic science side. Very excited to see translational potential for our work to hopefully inform approaches to fistula closure in patients #DDW2023
Ending #DDW2023 on a high note enjoying a lovely dinner with Judy Cho and the best clinical research coordinator in the game (and my friend) Colleen Chasteau IBD Genetics Consortium Mount Sinai Division of Gastroenterology . We had a great few days!

#Fissures and #fistulas are associated with significant morbidity and decreased quality of life for patients with #Crohnsdisease. Jean-Frederic Colombel, MD, presents research that shows treatment with a disease-modifying antirheumatic drug can provide a safe an effective option for
ICYMI: Jean-Frederic Colombel unites diverse perspectives in #IBD at Mount Sinai's #IBDRetreat. We value every opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with our colleagues & address complex challenges in #GI. Thanks to all who participated & attended yesterday's event.

What a beautiful evening for Crohn's & Colitis Foundation #TakeStepsNYC and to support #IBD #research with our Mount Sinai Division of Gastroenterology colleagues! Thank you everyone that came out and Mount Sinai Health System for sponsoring the walk! 😍
